I am 36 weeks pregnant and have awful pain in my pelvis. It feels like someone hit me with a hammer. I know babies head is down there. My legs ache too. I never felt this with my other 2 pregnancies. It hurts to walk. Anyone else feeling this too?

What can I do next?

this sounds familiar to me. I experienced this pain during my the very end of my second pregnancy and my doctor told me that it would get much worse, much earlier on, with each pregnancy after. Boy was she right. During my third pregnancy, I had to do physical therapy. Getting out of bed in the mornings was HORRIBLY painful and so was any sort of scissor type movement with my legs. My doctor calls it Pubic Symphysis Disorder. You might want to look it up in google and try some of the exercises that are recommended if it fits your symptoms! GOod luck to you... and if you DO have this disorder, I'd advise against more pregnancies if you don't a great support system to help with your other kids. I was nearly in a wheelchair for the last month of my third pregnancy. :(

My daughter delivered nearly a month ago and she described the same sort of pain. Her pain was so bad she started maternity leave early. This was also her 3rd pregnancy and she didn't have the pain with the first two.

With my 3rd I had this problem. It would take me 10 minutes just to get out of bed because it hurt so bad to move. It got better after she was born. ;-) Maybe it's just something about the 3rd pregnancy. The baby may just have found a nice snuggly place right in the wrong place. Good luck, it'll be over soon.

Hi. My sister 2 years ago, had to go to the restroom when she got up to come out she said she really couldnt walk and had pain down there, then we told her to go to the hospital, and at like 1 in the morning she had my neice, so you may want to take a trip to the hospital or your dr, and best wishes to you .
