Pain in My Left Breast....

For the past 5 weeks I have had this uncomfortable pain in my left beast. Its not an intense pain but its very tender and very sensitive. I have tried checking for lumps but since I have breast implants below the muscle it’s a little hard to tell.

It hurts to even massage my breast or touch my nipple or my breast at all. Do you think this is a problem to see a plastic surgeon for or a OBGYN doctor?
Should I be worried?

Thanks

What can I do next?

Call the doctor! Pain that doesn't go away within a few days, that has no OBVIOUS explanation, needs to be checked out! Chances are it isn't a big issue and the doctor will cal;l you in and check it out - and tell you what is going on... but if it is something worse... waiting will only cause MORE problems. To be honest... what you have sounds a lot like mastitis... ouch! (which occurs in breastfeeding women, but I don't know if other women get it too?) But, don't take my word for it- go to a professional!

In the meantime, maybe get some cabbage leaves or take a warm shower...
Good luck!

if you have pain that has lasted longer than one week - seven (7) days - you should be going to the dr. I would go to the doctor who did my implants to get checked to see if one broke.

I think if you have any concerns you should probaly at least call your dr. You could start with a call to the nurse at either dr. and they should be able to ask you some questions to kind of figure out which dr. to see.

I hope you feet better!

call the dr.....but also think about how much caffeine you've consumed! If it's a lot, then that may be the cause. I'm to the point where I can have only 1 caffeinated drink/day.

I had the same thing and went to my gyn. I don't have implants. She immediately sent me to a breast surgeon right from her office to the other. That was scary.. She checked things out and didn't find anything bad. She wanted to see me in two months, and that is this week. It came on fast and was very uncomfortable. Just as you described. She told me to take Evening Primrose, and the pain went right away. That is an over the counter thing. I have been fine since!

I would absolutely get it checked out!! Not to scare you, but I had sharp pains in my right breast (no implants) so I made an appt with my gyno. In the meantime, I found a lump in my left breast which turned out to be breast cancer. I'm 35. Now, there's nothing at all showing up in my right side. I believe that was just a sign from God to get it checked out. Never, ever let stuff like that go without getting it checked out. I'm sure it's not the case for you, but you might as well put your mind at ease!

Definitely doesn't sound right. I'd call the plastic surgeon first and let them know what is going on and see if they'd prefer you see an OBGYN instead of them. I agree, I wonder if you have an implant that may be leaking and you have an infection or possibly worse.
