Pain Around Previous C-section Scar

I'm 27, and I had my second c-section in 2008. I learned about 4 months ago that I have a "nodular area" right above my scar that at that time wasn't really hurting. The md said that it could be scar tissue, and he wasn't thinking that it was cancerous, but chose not to pursue it since it wasn't bothering me. But my 4 yr old jumped on my stomach a few nights ago, and now the pain on the knot (which you can feel easily from the outside) is almost intense no matter what I do. It hurts to bend over, to rise from a sitting/lying position, to lift a basket of laundry, or just pressing on it, and definitley to lift the kids....Wondering if it's just sore from her landing on me and I should just see what happens or -- if if this nodular area is really something to worry about? My mom died of pancreatic cancer 3 1/2 yrs ago, and although I'm not having any of the symptoms she did, and it's no where near the pancreas-----I can't help but be scared/worried. Maybe it's just bruised? Maybe the pressure of a 44lb kid landing on it actually did injure the area? Should I make a big deal out of it now or wait? IDK?

What can I do next?

I had 2 c-sections and the 2nd c-section didn't heal right on 1 of the ends and had to have a nurse come to my house and clean it and pack it and such. I know TMI but this is part of my story! But this is how I got my lump!! But when it healed all up I ended up with a lump of scar tissue! Which about a year later started hurting bad to where I didn't want to walk. But at the sametime I had to have my uterus taking out and they had problems and had to go up and down on my stomach and from that a part of that wouldn't close so again, so of course a nurse again. and scare tissue again and a lump! And that was scar tissue and intrometreois (sp) I ended up having 5 surgeries for that and the lump on my c-section scar! Then between all those surgeries I had to have my left overory (sp) sorry can't spell today! But for that they opened up the same scar that was up and down when they took out my utures. Lets just say I am a mess inside from the 2nd c-section!! But what The most important thing I wanted to say is go to the ER cause you dr will schedule all these test which will take longer while you sit in pain and if you go to the ER they will do them all right there!...Again good luck hun and go to the ER!!!!

Go to the Doctor....

Or could it be a Hernia??? that is what I thought of, as I read your post.

NO matter what.... go to the Doctor or ER.
You will never know, unless a Doctor looks at it.

I would not wait.

In the meantime, do NOT do any lifting.... it may make it worse.
Then go to the Doctor... or Urgent Care office.

I would go to the doctor. Any pain that does not go away or feel better with ice and advil or similar then I would make the call. Making a call to your OB/GYN tomorrow morning could not hurt, my guess is they will have you come in for a look.

Is the pain relieved by some ice or Tylenol? If it is no then call the doc it is better to be safe. Good luck!
