Hi. Any recommendations for pacifiers? I need a backup for those emergency moments when I can't nurse right away.

What can I do next?

I tried a few different pacifiers but Soothies make the one-piece newborn pacifiers that my son liked. It has a little indent in the middle where you put your finger inside. It's easy to clean/sterilize since it's one piece.

I would suggest buying a few different kinds and seeing which one your baby likes. Some babies prefer certain brands, shapes, etc...over others. So try out a few different kinds first. My daughter likes the Avent ones.

I use wubbanubs which are soothie pacifiers attached to an animal. Its great because I can stick it inside my son's shirt so the pacifier stays secure in his mouth. Plus he gets to hug and play with a little stuffed animal. There are different styles - dog, cat, frog, etc. You can see more at: http://www.wubbanub.com/index.php
