What does your EMS training tell you to do?
It sounds like a strain so would that be heat?
...Stupid me. I was trying to move this ginormous, ancient t.v. (yeah, not a flat screen, an old dinosaur t.v.) and OMG, this thing must have weighed 300lbs. I hurt my elbow, I guess I just strained it? It's throbbing like crazy... moving it doesn't make it better or worse, but the throbbing is obnoxious.
So should I ice this? Apply heat? Are there any stretches that may help?
The pain shoots down my arm to my wrist and fingers. I really messed it up, and I really need to use it, so any suggestions would be great :)
@BD, good call, my brain has been so scattered that the 'simple things' tend to fail me now ;) Yes, I guess ice is right, for now...

You're a former EMT....what would you tell us? LOL
Hi! Sounds like you could have torn something, you should have it checked, the shooting down the arm thing isn't good. Always ice for the first 24 hours, then heat. If you try to move the TV again rest the front (picture tube ) against your chest and stomach so the weight rests there. If that's what you did and couldn't move it, get help!
Ouch! Just ice it for now. Maybe wrap it or buy a sling to help.
Google tennis elbow and make sure that isn't what is going on. I did that when putting in a retaining wall. The block shifted and kind of bent my arm backward tearing the ligament. :(
could it be a pinched nerve? .. i would think ice it but i could be wrong
