I would ask your dr. if he has someone that he suggests. It's usually the best way to go.
I have had shoulder pain for several months. An xray revealed that I have an abnormaility probably due to an old fracture. I don't recall any injury to my shoulder but I can see it on the xrays. My family dr ordered the xray and wants me to go to an orthopedic dr. Can anyone recommend one in the Dallas area, preferably in McKinney, Allen, or Frisco? If there is one you would steer clear of, please let me know.
Thanks!

My husband dislocated his shoulder 5 times and had surgery by Dr. Joseph McNutt. ###-###-####. He is in the Centennial Medical Center in Frisco. The website is www.friscoortho.com. He did a great job on my husband's shoulder. He did everything he could to try to keep the surgery as minimally invasive as possible. He even did the surgery on a day he usually doesn't do surgeries to accommodate my husband. I also saw him for knee pain and I really liked him.
John Racanelli at Presbyterian of Dallas. He has a great reputation. He treated me for frozen shoulder and was great.
We go to POSMC.com. All the Dr's there are highly recommended and you often see them on TV interviews, etc.
We've seen several of them due to sporting injuries. They are awesome.
If you are looking for surgery, you might not like them... they use surgery as a last resort. My hubby had a rotator cuff injury and he managed to avoid surgery with his physical therapy and working at home. He is back on the the golf course in great shape!
This may be a little far for you but worth the drive. Dr. Cantrell in Lewisville. He specializies specifically in shoulders. His office is at Lewisville Medical center. ###-###-####. I know how painful it is. Good luck. Don't be against physical therapy. It is time consuming but can be a good alternative to surgery.
