My daugther sees Dr. Zimmer and she is WONDERFUL! She has seen Dr. Lippincott as well and he is nice too.

Our dentist recently gave me the names of some orthodontists for our 9-year old son and I wanted to get some references before selecting one. Does anyone have any feedback they would be willing to share regarding Dr. Gary Lippincott, Dr. Jacqueline Zimmer, or Dr. David Pesavento? Or any other orthodontists to recommend (or avoid!) in the Aurora, North Aurora, or Batavia area?

OMG this is one I can actually answer! As a kid, I was terrified of dentists and orthodontists, to the point where one had even put a label in my file saying "difficult patient." lol, look up Dr. Timothy J Clare. He specializes in working with children and is probably the coolest and most fun orthodontist in existance. For example, when I used to go there, he had video games in the waiting room, funny posters on the ceiling (to look at while he's working in your mouth), even these cool goggles that you could watch movies on while getting your braces on... There were monthly drawings for cool prizes too, and you got your name put in the raffle if you had good hygiene when you went in for your check up... and as far as retainers, he must have them made at some ridiculously cool company, because you can get a photo put in them (weird, but cool), your name, tye-dye, glow in the dark (my choice, lol), glitter, or anything from an assortment of cool designs. The retainer cases were even scented, so it always smelled like coconut (or strawberry, etc.) Plus they have an Aurora location. I just googled him and found the website, so be sure to check it out. Seriously, you and your kids will love him. PS, when I finally started seeing Dr. Clare, he put a scratch & sniff sticker over the 'difficult patient' label.
It has been quite a few years since I have been to the orthodontist but mine was great! Dr. Olsen in Geneva (Right near Prairie and Second St.) I had a lot done to my mouth (Oral surgery and such-I had really messed up teeth!) However, my teeth are now beautiful. They were extremely nice there (DR. and all assistants) and most of their patients were young. Good Luck! By the way I would definitley avoid Dr. Lazarra in Geneva.
My kids see (or saw they are all older now lol) Dr Kay in oswego.. when we started he had an office in aurora but has since moved to oswego. the kids loved him

We go to Dr Shah & Dr Patel. They are located at New York & Eola. Their staff is great and we get in and out quickly. They have free consultations.
