Hi Moms,

My husband has a conference in August for 6 days in Orlando. We plan to bring our 5 year old son, but I'm looking for a cool hotel with a fun kids pool (slides, lazy river, etc).... While my husband is at the conference during the day, I'll be at the pool with my son... He'll get bored after awhile if it's just a regular pool... We're looking to spend no more than 150/175 per night... Any suggestions? I've seen Nick hotel and Coco Key hotel so far...
Thanks!!!

What can I do next?

We'll be heading to Orlando this summer as well. We have a timeshare and traded to stay at Marriott's Harbor Lake, which I think someone already mentioned (and is probably what the first poster meant by Pirates Cove). It has a splash park, Pirate ship, water slides, etc. We chose it primarily for the pools even through there are other timeshares closer to Disney.

Also, since it's timeshares (but you can book like a hotel through Marriott), you could probably book the week for within your price range and still get at least a full 1-bedroom, with kitchen etc. which will give you more space to spread out when you finally come in from the pools.

There are so many around here and most are kid friendly. I found a list of the top ten here in the Orlando area.

I pass this hotel all the time and the pool looks like so much fun. I can see the pool area from the highway (417), but it's not close enough to be a noise problem.

There are also many water parks around here. Disney has two and I am sure they will cater to younger children.

We stayed at the Marriott World Center which has AMAZING outdoor pools.

Wyndham Bonnet Creek also has a lazy river and mini golf and tons of other fun things on site.

My parents just got back from Summer Bay and HATED it.

We stayed at this great place - Marriott Pirate's Cove or something like that - and it had an awesome pool area - my kiddos preferred the pool to Disney World! :-)

Not sure of cost though...
