Original Wedding Band - Revisited

I asked about this last month and got some great ideas. Today my new rings came in!! YAY! So my husband is at the jewlers now and he is talking to him about some other things to do with my original band.

The reason I don't want to wear it alone is because it is bent (on purpose) to fit around my engagement ring. It's a set from Kay's.

So the jeweler told my hubby he can make it into a pendant, earings, etc...really whatever I want.

I was thinking to maybe put my kids birthstones with the diamonds from my original band?? Would that be weird or too much? My kdis are March, April, and June.

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Yarmety - good thing I love diamonds!! LOL - I just saw that though. We were married in October so maybe I can do an October stone with the diamonds around it.

Jackie - great idea! Considering the ring was a gift from him to begin with for something between he and I. We were both born in March, as was our baby. And I LOVE March's birthstons - so thats a great idea too!

My MIL has a ring like you are talking about with her stone in the middle then her hubby's stone and her sons stone. It is very pretty...

Something I wanted to do but because of the colors dk green, red and diamond I don't think I will like it cause I don't want to have the "christmas" colors on my finger all year long. So that is out of the question for me :(

i like things symetrical (sp) so i would add my husbands birth stone also. i like to put my husband before my kids...its something i struggle to do or think about but he is so very important to me i dont want to neglect him.

for those who are going to miss understand this i dont neglect my kids at all. i just hold my husband as important as my kids.

Before I got my engagement ring, my now husband had bought me a diamond heart necklace. After each of the children were born he added their birthstones to it. (the only times this necklace has been off my neck).

You could have them reform the gold into a heart shape then put all of your birthstones in it. (Yours, hubby's at the top and the kids' at the bottom.)

Birthstone jewelry is still pretty popular as far as I know. The only thing possibly throwing a wrench in your plans is the April baby since that birthstone is a diamond. Personally, I would have earrings made.

I would probably hold on to it until one of the kids gets married and you can pass it down but that's me.

I'm sentimental--I'd probably keep the original ring.
