Hi Mommies,

Where do you buy your organic beef from? I was using Burgundy Pasture Beef, but their rates have gone way up and I'm hoping to find a farm that is closer to something like $4.50/lb for ground beef...

What can I do next?

I get mine from Northstar Farms. It is grass-fed, antibiotic and hormone free beef and it is delicious. They also have pork. Found them at the Dallas Farmers Market downtown Dallas and have never looked back. I don't remember the price per pound but whatever it is it is worth it to me to have excellent tasting beef that is actually good for you. Wish I had known about the harmful effects of antibiotics and hormones in meat when my kids were little.

I get all our meats (beef, pork, chicken) from Dominion Farms at the McKinney Farmer's Market http://www.chestnutsquare.org/programs/farmers_market.asp on Saturdays. Steve is great and will answer any questions you have about how they raise and process their meat. Their website is http://www.dfmeats.com/index.html but the prices haven't been updated for this year. I'm not sure what I pay per pound but it all tastes great! They also have fresh eggs.
