Hello Mama's
Our daughters do not receive the scholastic book ordering form from the school so I decided to go online to the web site. I was wondering if there are any mothers who have ordered from the company online before?

What can I do next?

We order and love it. It is probably the cheapest new books you will ever find.

The thing is, the books are shipped to the school and they sort and distribute the books there. They also receive book credit. That way we aren't charged for shipping & handling.

Several times! Ask your school or your child's teacher if they have a code so the school gets credit for your purchases. It's like ordering from any reputable company online -you'll get your books in about a week if you're ordering on your own, or if you're ordering using the school's code, they are sent there and then sent home with your child.

I do them for my home childcare. Do your children attend a childcare center or home based program, or even a partial day preschool a few times a week?

I have a small group (6-8 children) and it was free for me to get it all started, and I get free books when parents order online every month (or every other month as seems the norm here). Several of them also have friends, family and co-workers order and I make several age group catalongs available (toddler to early grade school).

I would encourage you to have your child care options set it up! I love the free materials that all of the children in my group can benefit from.

Hi,

I have only ordered them on line when it was through the school. Can you ask the school if they will participate in Scholastics? I think when the school participates, they receive free books.

My daughter's preschool encouraged us to order online. It is really simple to do and the books come fairly quickly. The only downfall is choosing from ALL the books they offer. Most of the selections tell you what age group it's geared towards, which I really liked, and they are so affordable. Sometimes you can find multi book selections for a low price. Try it out, you won't be disappointed!
