OJ caused really bad diaper rash with one of mine, but the others were fine. It took me a few days to make the connection so I just wanted to suggest something to watch!
Is it OK to give my daughter oj? She loves it and has 1 glass everymorning. It is like her coffee. What do ya'll think? I give her the "Kid's OJ" that is vitamin fortified. She also drinks milk.

I agree with the other post -- OJ is ok, you would have noticed if it didn't agree with your daughter. I have cut the juice w/water for both kids. My son is now 7 and doesn't know the difference. And it's less sugar and stretches the juice, saving money.
In my opinion...I'd say go for it. I think 9 months is the recommended age to allow citrus acid into a child's diet. One thing that I have always done with my kids orange and apple juice, was water it down. Orange due to the twang and apple cause of the diapers (lol).
at 1 y/o is ok to give orange juice i give my son oj since he was 10 months

I agree with the other posts, just water it down. My sons got watery poop when its not watered down due to all the acid.
Hi Lindee!
First of all, I would definitely ask your pediatrician and get their advice. It is better for her to receive the benefits of fruit by eating actual fruit. The one thing that I think is great to keep in mind that I would not have known until my son's ped. dentist told me, was that when you give her juice, make sure that she has something to eat with it. This way her saliva helps to flush the juice so it doesn't sit on her teeth. This is good advice for when she is older as well. Only give juice if it's with a meal or snack.
As long as juice is not replacing her actual breakfast or is causing her to take in less milk, then I am sure it's fine. On a side note, if you have yet to take her to a ped. dentist, I would do so. This will get her used to the idea of going, they will give you great advice, and she will learn from a young age that going is a lot of fun. I have seen parents wait until their child is 4 or 5 years old and at that point it is a little scary for them and I ALWAYS hear from them that they've been told that they have cavities. When your child is seen every 6 months from the time they are 1, problems like that can be totally prevented. Sorry to get off on a side note! Make sure to ask your pediatrician and enjoy your sweet girl!
