Kids are in 2nd and 4th grades. At their elementary school, the school council (kids) has planned some fun dress up days for Fridays. Tomorrow is the first one and it's "Opposite Day" - we can't think of anything!

The "opposite" month of Oct is April - I thought my daughter could wear an Easter dress??? Bunny ears? Not any options for my son though......
They would LOVE eating the dessert first idea!
And it's weird too because it's fall here. The leaves are changing and starting to fall but it's supposed to be over 80 degrees for the next few days - so even the weather is opposite!!

My son just wore a Tshirt inside out and backwards. My daughter wore a shirt inside out, one polka dot sock and one stripped sock, and I did her hair with one piggy tail and one braid!!!!
You could do a Black and White thing... top half in one bottom half in the other.
Along the same lines... winter on top, summer on the bottom (or vice versa)... rain on top, sun on the bottom (umbrella and rain coat with swim trunks and flip flops)
They could wear their clothes inside out or backwards.
For your son, put an undershirt on top of his regular shirt. If your daughter has undershirts, do the same for her. (The school won't let you put underpants on the outside though!) If they have some of those non-skid socks, let them put them on over their shoes once they get to school. Or put their shoes on the wrong feet if it's comfortable. (Boots might be easier.)
You might consider hair color - the spray stuff that washes out. If your kids are blond, send them in with black hair.
Or, have them dress as the opposite of what they are - kids dressed as adults. Have your son wear a tie and carry a briefcase instead of a backpack. If you don't have a briefcase, use a laptop case. Your daughter can do that too. Maybe someone has a couple of blazers you can borrow.
You could do spring stuff - have them wear one of those garden belts with little tools hanging off (trowel, etc.) and carry their stuff in a gardener's bucket. Or farmer attire - overalls, sun hat, etc.
But the easiest - and what most kids will do - is backwards and inside out.
Clothing inside out or backwards, mismatched shoes and socks, mismatched hair style (ponytail on one side, braid on the other.) That's all I can think of!
what about getting a white T-shirt and a black one, cutting them in half and roughly stiching the 2 opposite colors together to make an opposite t-shirt.
Could he dress in shorts vs long pants? Summer clothes vs fall clothes? PJs instead of regular clothes?
Well, the opposite of day is night, so if they don't have a pajama day, they could wear pajamas?
I was going to suggest inside out or backwards too. Maybe wear their backpacks on the front as well. Tell them to eat their dessert first today = )
Young, old? Have one go as a baby and the other as an old old p;erson. I was going to be a smart aleck and suggest one child IN school and the other OUT. But that's not an option.
Black/white. Dirty/clean. Happy (face)/sad. Or mad.
