I am thinking about switching my daughter's pediatrician to Dr. Rahman on Southshore in Wellington. I was wondering if anyone uses him and I would love to hear your opinion of him as well as the office staff. Thanks!

Hi! I have been taking my two year old girl to Dr.Rahman since she was about 6 months old and we have been very happy. My daughter loves Angie, the nurse practitioner, and the staff has always been great.

The day they rated with us was her 1st Christmas, which was also the 1st night of Hannukah, and she woke up with a high fever, and was the sickest she has ever been. I spoke directly to the doctor, and he took time out of his holiday to call back that night to check on her status.
We are very happy with the entire practice.

The only thing that may bother some is that you will not always see the doctor, some appointments will be with the nurse. Hope this helps!

We were recommended to Dr. Rahman's office by a friend and have had him for our 2 year old since we moved down here when she was one month old. We love it. He is so friendly and helpful. He has answered so many of my questions and solved more than one problem for us with behavior and sleeping and such. They are very accomodating with appointments and when I call with a sick question, they always get back to me within a half an hour or so and they won't just automatically just tell you to bring your child in so they can get money out of you. They genuinely seem to care and the nurse practitioner is super sweet as well. The nurses are also all very sweet. We really love it there. He also pierced my daughter's ears!

I take my 3 kids there and have never had a problem. He's only human and all docs sometimes miss on diagnosis, he hasnt missed any on my kids but my general practioner missed one on me once, so Rahman is not the only one. I like the service there and it's pretty small and cozy unlike other places. Just make ur own choices based on what u read and what ur intuition tells u.

While I see all the He is so nice responses I cant help but get angry. Nice doesn't go as far as LISTENING!! I took my lil boy to Rahman for 2 years. I had asked the Dr on several appointments about my son's speech & he just kept saying he is fine boys start later not to worry, even after I requested a speech therapist to find out for myself he still felt I was being paranoid. One day I practically yelled at him & he finally opened his eyes & READ MY SON'S CHART & SAW how old he was & that he did in fact have a problem. I came back with what the speech therapist said & asked that he test him for mercury levels & what have you & he stated "I would be sticking my son for nothing" After leaving Rahmen's office & getting a new Pediatrician my son was diagnosed with Autism MUCH LATER THAN WAS NECESSARY. Missing out on some essential services he could have been getting sooner rather than later. So yeah he is so nice and a great guy If you are looking for a pal & yes ladies he is even kinda cute. But sometimes you just need a Dr to give it to you straight whether its good or bad. & the receptionist who was there when I went was cold & unfriendly unless of course you were White!

Well, a year & a half ago, you would have found me here raving about how great Dr. Rahman is....but not anymore. My son used to be a patient of his and when he suddenly developed a weird rash on his forehead, I took him to Dr. Rahman who insisted it was eczema & treated it as such for 2 months, when it didn't clear, he insisted it was ringworm & treated it that way for 2 more months, I kept asking shouldn't he take a skin-scraping and do a culture to find out for sure what it was, but he insisted no...well, when he told me the next kind of treatment for the "ringworm" would most likely damage my son's liver & require weekly blood tests, I took my son straight to a dermatologist (should have done it sooner). It was a bacterial infection which was easily diagnosed by a skin-scrape test. Because it was mis-treated for soooo long, it took almost 3 more months of antibiotics & creams to finally be healed. Dr. Rahman acted like it was no big deal that he completely misdiagnosed my son's infection & put his health at risk. I have since switched to Lake Worth Pediatrics & am sooo happy there.
