I am 5 months pregnant and thinking of switching to Dr. Lipowich in Elk Grove, his office is in one of the buildings near Alexian Brothers. I am currently being seen in another office and have not been happy at all with any of my experiences but I know nothing about Dr. Lipowich. I do not have many choices due to my insurance. So that being sad, does anyone have anything they could share about him? Thanks so much!

What can I do next?

Dr. Richard Mruz and Midwife Jill Edwards

They are located in the hospital. I think they are in the same building as Dr. Lipowich
I just had my 3rd baby 11 weeks ago and was seeing Jill all through my pregnancy. I delivered the first two kids with different doctors and have to tell you that this was my favourite and the nurses are great too.

Jill is very nice and I feel like she really knows me and was treating me more then just like another number
(like the other doctors did). After a few visits, she didn't have to look in my chart to know who I was and what my condition was.
They do everything in their office, blood work, glucose, ultrasound and other testing.

She didn't deliver my baby, I saw her for all my visits and she was on vacation when I delivered ( I delivered early), so Dr. Mruz delivered my baby, and he was awesome! I really wanted her to be there since I was so used to her, but I have to admit that Dr. Mruz was really amazing and I'm glad he was there. He has a great sense of humor and made the whole thing a lot easier....

They take All Kids/Family Care so I'm guessing they take most plans...

Good luck,
Yvette

I'm seeing Dr Yockey - office is in the Eberle building next to the hospital. The office and staff is nice. Is she in your plan? If so I would consider her. She practices with another doctor - Dr. Schuab and has a staff of nurse practitioners and midwives who are very knowledgeable.

Good luck!

I have been seeing Dr. Lipowich for several years now. He delivered my son 2 years ago. To me he has been a good doctor and his staff is very nice. His Nurse Practitioner has also done many of my exams and she is quite nice too (very quite in general). I sometimes think Dr. Lipowich is a bit arrogant but that has never come into play for me medically. Good luck! And I liked Alexian Brothers both their offices (minus the parking in EGV) and the hospital.

Hi B.,

Here is my 2 cents. I went to Dr. Lipowich once-and ONLY once. He was rude and extremely arrogant. He refused to refill a prescription for my BC that I had been on for years because he claimed my insurance company would not allow it and tried to force me onto a different pill, claiminghe was a physician of "high moral caliber" and would not against my insurance. Knowing this was wrong (as I had been on this med for several years with the same insurance) I called my insurance company after leaving his office and filed a formal complaint. My insurance company called and corrected him, he did eventually call me and apologize, but I will NEVER see him again! His holier than thou attitude really turned me off! I consider him to be one of the worst doctors I have ever seen.

If your insurance allows it, try Dr. Orhan. She is in Elk Grove and she WONDERFUL!!! She is the complete opposite of Dr. Lipowich.

Best of luck to you!
