Look into State colleges first, many offer long distance and online classes. For-profit schools charge more tuition, have worse graduation rates, and many have earned very bad reputations as diploma mills and unethical recruting is a big problem.

I completed my masters in accounting a couple years ago. Speaking to the recruiters they do not consider any degree that is primarily online. They don't even look at the brick and mortars that are considered diploma mills.

State universities usually have a fair few online courses and also know how far to push it before the degree is worthless.

UMUC is good. It is primarily used by service men and women. I took a few semesters online when my son was born, and was taking creative writing with soldiers in Iraq. It is instate tuition if you are in Maryland or in the service. Other than that, not sure. Your local university would be likely now to have online courses, and finance and accounting are typical programs.

There are no notable/credible online colleges, in my experience. Wish there were, but there aren't. There are online courses that could be of some merit, if they are offered by a real university, but a purely online university is, by definition, a diploma mill.
