i am trying to find a one piece swimsuit option for the summer and i am coming up with nothing. i am considered petite but i am also considered quite busty, so there lies the issue. every swim suit i have found to fit my body size is perfect but the cups are way too small. i want something black, halter, maybe some ruching for after baby tummy coverage, and underwire. does any one know of any place in the area to get what i am looking for? does anyone else have this problem as well and what have you done to fix it?

What can I do next?

I would try Tina's Closet in Lisle; that's the only place I could find a swimsuit that fit my busty frame!

Tina's Closet! ! ! They also will do alterations (used to be no charge, maybe they charge now) and your suit will be a PERFECT fit. Good Luck!

Hi Z.,
I had the exact same problem (petite and big on top!...well, I guess it's not a problem, except when shopping for bathing suits! :) And I was so thrilled to find a suit this weekend at Kohls! It's actually two pieces, but covers everything totally. It's a purple and black tank style top from Nike. I actually had a black bottom piece from another suit at home already, so I only bought the top. I had been trying on suits at Macy's, Marshalls and then Kohls over the past few weeks, and this was the only one that really looked pretty good. I also have a scar to cover from open heart surgery, and this suit even was perfect for that. Good luck!!!

Try Lands End. They have a virtual model on line that you can use your own measurements. They'll fit the model and you can see what you'd look like without even trying it on. It worked for me!

I know you want a one piece, but what about a Tankini? That way you can do a larger top with a smaller bottom. I bought one from Eddie Bauer last season that fit my "nursing boobs" great, while working well for my slender but baby tummy body.

Hands down, miracle bathing suits. I am about 15 lbs overweight, very flabby in the waist area, and look like a movie star in my red sheath. It hides all that is flawed and accentuates all that is awesome.

Look for a suit that has cup sizes like a bra. They might be a little more pricey, but the more expensive ones fit better and last longer.
