One Night Getaway

My hubby and I get a night away this Saturday for our anniversary. All I want is a nice hotel that has great food, for room service, an in room jacuzzi and just relaxation away from life. I want to order dinner to eat right in the room but want some place to be somewhat romantic too. Anyone have any great suggestions, even if they are different then my expectations, for us for this Saturday? I would like to be in a nice little town too maybe to do some window shopping or walking, if its gonna be nice too.

What can I do next?

I have a couple ideas. My first thought was to book a room at one of the casinos downtown - their restaurants have awesome food and the rooms are very nice. But then I saw that you'd like something in a nice little town. So my next thought was the St. Clair Inn right on the St. Clair River, just south of Port Huron. My husband and I stayed overnight there about 6 years ago and it's a charming little Inn. I have also heard the Thomas Edison Inn in Port Huron (with views of the Blue Water Bridge) is nice but I've never stayed there. Or you can try the Townsend hotel in downtown Birmingham. Again, I've never stayed there but have heard it's very nice. Or you can always try Frankenmuth if you don't mind a little bit of a drive.

Downtown Rochester is awesome....and they have a beautiful, classy hotel, Royal Park hotel. Here is the link: http://www.royalparkhotel.net/
I have not stayed there but have gone there a couple times when we were looking at places for our wedding ceremony. I have heard great things...and you also get the downtown area you are looking for, that you won't get anywhere else, unless you go to Birmingham, and then you could stay at the Townsend there. http://www.townsendhotel.com/ I hope you have fun!

I thought of two choices - the Marriott Inn on Big Beaver at Crooks in Troy; or the Sterling Inn on Van Dyke at Fifteen Mile in Sterling Heights. I think the Sterling Inn is more known for their jacuzzi rooms etc; maybe they even have a package deal of some sort.

The Royal Park in Rochester is very nice. They cater to every need and have all the ammenities you are talking about. It's not inexpensive. Downtown Rochester is quaint and nice to walk around too. We had our daughter's wedding there and it was wonderful!
