Has anyone taken baby gear/clothes to either Once Upon a Child or Childrens Orchard?
If so is it worth it? Did they price things reasonble, or is it a waste of the effort to
bring everything in,when they really dont give that much for baby stuff?

I personally didn't care for Once Upon a Child. I brought in about 3 garbage bags of clothes (most still w/ tags) and a bunch of toys (some new in boxes) and I walked out of there with $45. So in my opinion it is not worth the time. Although they do have some good deals if you are going in there to buy things not turn in.

I also brought in a bunch of baby stuff, and they hardly have me anything for it. Sorry i just realized I was at Once upon a child, they have some great deals for purchasing, but not so good on getting money out of them. LOL.
they also are very picky, everything has to be like spotless, perfectly clean..etc or they wont even take it.

I went to Upon a Child and felt completely stupid for wasting my time. I didn't really get anything for the jumper that I had brought in. They also expect that SECOND HAND items should be perfectly clean. I would rather sell my children's things at a garage sale.

Another note: I also think that the customer service is way better at Childrens Orchard vs Once Upon a Child. My experience is with the Orland Park stores.

Good luck to you.

I had the same experience as the other posters. I went in there with a bunch of twins clothes and they gave me nothing. True, they are VERY picky. Even though some things still had tags they said they were unacceptable. My suggestion would be to sell them at a garage sale or donate them. I used to sell all my stuff on ebay, but that got to be too time consuming. Good luck!
