What do you all think about the Omaha zoo and if you have stayed at the coco key resort what have you thought about it? We are talking about taking a weekend trip up there and might stay at the coco key resort for an extra fun time for the kids. Thanks
You will LOVE the zoo! It's amazing and so many great things too see. I don't know much about the coco key resort so I can't help you there. Another great place to go it the Children's museum. My boys LOVE it every time we go. Have lots of fun!
We love, love, LOVED the zoo! And, I'll second the children's museum. We've talked about making it a yearly destination. I haven't been to CoCo Key, but I've heard great things about it!
I grew up around the Omaha area and personally I think it is a GREAT zoo! There are TONS of things to see throughout the zoo and it doesn't feel like you are walking in circles without seeing anything. IF your children like fish, they have a great aquarium. I've heard good things about the coco key resort but have never been there myself.
If you do go to the zoo, make sure to take a train ride, it goes along the outside of the zoo and provides a background of some of the animals and the zoo itself.
Love the Omaha Zoo--have lots of animals indoors and outdoors. Stayed at Coco Key Resort and the kids enjoyed it--they charge extra for the water park and even charged full price for the grandparents who just wanted to watch the grandkids. They also ran out of towels--hopefully the customer service has improved, but the kids did enjoy it.
We took our daughter to the Omaha Zoo and it's great! Well worth the trip and money! I'd have to say it's one of the best zoos!!!
