Does anyone know of a way to remove a month old carpet stain from orange soda or have any of you had success with a carpet cleaning company removing a stain like this? For those who had success with a carpet cleaning service, please send me their name.if you live near Mckinney, Tx.
So far I've tried Peroxide as well as Oxiclean and the stain is still there!
By the way the carpet is a very light beige and a very very short shag type.
I appreciate your advice.

What can I do next?

Mix 3 parts warm water, vinegar and blue dawn dish detergent into a spray bottle. Spray the stain and let it sit for about 5 minutes. Get a dry white towel (or a few) and heat up your iron. Make sure to put in water and set to steam. When the iron is nice and hot, place the white towel on top of the stain and iron away. The stain will come off of the carpet and onto the towel. Then you can just bleach the towel to get clean.

This worked on red gatorade for me and I now use it all over the house. Good luck!

Go online and find the directions for ironing stains out of carpeting. I've done it and it works. Be sure to use a towel over it while ironing.

Fels Naptha laundry bar. Wet the stain thoroughly with lukewarm water, rub the soap bar into the stain until there's plenty of soap. It doesn't get sudsy, so no worries about that. Then scrub with your fingertips, working throught the carpet fibers. Blot out the soiled water with a big, dark colored towel. Rinse with cold water to remove soap. Blot with a clean towel and allow to air dry.

I've used Fels Naptha on a ton of stains. Blood, chocolate, red juice. It's fantastic.

Try the FelsNapatha (and ya'll need to keep it around for poison ivy) -- but you can also try rewetting the stain with Windex or the like - tho it's an old stain, it might still get it out or lighten it for you.
