Okay So Lets Talk Nintendo Wii

I recently learned that their is a 'knock off' of the Wii that is made by either Fisher Price or Leapster...I think its FP. It hooks up to the TV and is wireless-same as the Wii-and comes with a baseball bat and other attachments-same as the Wii-only the games are sports related and educational...math while sinking hoops kinda thing and learning the letters while playing ball! It is for the younger guys and looks pretty cool! Might be worth looking into as a 'first game system' while he is still little...

We do have a Wii and I must say that after having almost ALL games systems ever made going back to ATARI, the Wii is hard and sometimes frustrating. Dont get me wrong the kids love it and enjoy jumping around and playing it...but for the lil' guys your sons age it can be hard to control the position of the cursor and such. Takes time to learn and can be frustrating for lil' shaky hands. Of course kids being kids, which are adaptable and amazingly capable at learning new things, they do and will get the hang of it rather quickly...and the Wii will probably be more fun for Daddy!

We have a 3 yr old and 5 yr old. They both like the Wii but my three yr old sometimes has a hard time getting the concept of it etc. She loses interest really fast. However they are always asking to play it and we have had it almost a year now. I would say that if you really want one that you should get one. Your son will eventually catch on to the pointing of the remote etc and plus my husband and I have almost if not more fun playing it :).

I dont think theres lots of games for that age range. My son really got into it when he was 4 to 4.5. Because for most of games you have to hold one button whilte hitting another and a bit confusting.

I did see they have a similar one made by VSmile, Vsmile Motion, more aimed at the 3-7 agae group.

We LOVE Halloween Too! We keep our Halloween décor up all year

We have a Wii and LOVE it. The kids only kinda like it but, do get regular use and exercise out of it. We all do Yoga together with the Wii Fit. I use the controllers/balance board and they have their own spots. It feels like a class and the tv and I lead. There are not many games they can play at 4 and 2. My husband and I play and would play more, if there were more hours in a day. I think the kids will grow into it eventually and we look forward to it. There are lots of educational games and games that are very physical. We enjoy it.
