Oh! I Have a Cookbook Question Too!

I once had an Indian (Eastern) cookbook that had a recipe for "Chicken in Spicy Sauce". I lost it in a house fire and cant remember the Name of the cookbook and have never found the recipe on a google search. I found a great cookbook with other Indian recipies that I want but am not willing to spend $50 for it ( and that was in a store going out of buisness!)
The recipe used Garam Masala, finely chopped ginger root and ketchup for the sauce and the chicken was cut in 1" pieces. That is about all that I remember of it except that it was soooo good!
If anyone has come across anything similar or has that $50 Indian cookbook that comes in a cloth sack (it has one in it that may be the 'one') I sure would appreciate the help! I also would like any recipes for Samosas and Lasses (yogurt/rosewater drink) if you know of a good one!
Thanks Mammas and Dads

So What Happened?

Oh, thanks so much. They all sound good, but I think the one from Cheryl is the closest to what I had. I'm going to try it this week and see how it turns out. Thank you. thank you thank you

I think the book you're thinking of could possibly be "The India Cookbook" by Pushpesh Pant. There are some websites selling it at pretty reduced prices (although it's still an expensive book).

There's a great website called Mamta's Kitchen (www.mamtaskitchen.com) and it's my favorite source for Indian cuisine. You can find recipes for samosas and just about everything there.
