Hi ladies,
just curious, i should know but don't. My period for the last year seems to be 7-11 or so days after the start of the previous one. eg, start 6/22, start 8/06, start 9/20, start 10/?. is this normal? i'm 29, busy mother of three under 6, full time course schedule in my second year of college, work b/w 29-38 hours a week on top of school, eat healthily. no pain but definate change in flow of period. Sorry tmi, i know. thanks in advance! ps, zero chance of being preggers, hubby was fixed three plus years ago

What can I do next?

A 28 day cycle is average, but not everyone is average! A 40 day cycle is still in the average range. Stress can make your body delay or skip ovulation (which can make a single cycle longer). The book Taking Charge of Your Fertility has a lot of detailed information if you are interested. You can learn a lot by charting your cycle of a few months. Plus, on the small chance there is a problem, you have detailed info for you ob/gyn to review. BTW, my period got heavier after having children.

If I understand what you'e saying here,
instead of a 28-30 day cycle, you've been having a 40-45 day cycle.
Sounds good to me.
Just keep charting for a few more months.
I think your body is adjusting to your busy schedule.
Good luck.

Stress can cause your body too do some crazy stuff... including messing with your monthly. Try to stay calm and collective . Do worry bout small things and have a cup of hot tea (if u like that) every other nite, or maybe read a book. Something that will ease ur mind while the children are asleep.Thats helped me plenty of times.

Good luck :)

My cycles used to range between 32 to 48 days. The start date on the calendar is less importnant...are they equal days apart? for instance, the dates you have given are about 45 days apart...so if you follow the current pattern, you will have your next cycle around November 4th. If you have a relatively regular cycle, don't worry about it. If it really bothers you, see the OB/Gyn

FYI, there is never a zero percent chance...maybe a 0.0001 ;)

Stress can have an affect, as can a really low BMI, and/or hormonal imbalances. Keep charting it. Be sure to bring it up at your next checkup. It's not typical, but a very few women can get pre menopausal at a very early age. Also, some women just have very erratic periods and that's what is normal for them.
