OB Recommendation

I don't know about those doctors, but I adore my OBGYN. She's with North Texas OBGYN in Plano and her name is Dr. Hsu. I couldn't speak higher of her! I delivered at Medical Center of Plano and had a VERY good experience!

I used Dr. Joseph. My daughter was born on Halloween 6 years ago and the entire staff made it a very enjoyable experience, they joked around while we were waiting. At one point Dr. Joseph told me to begin pushing and he left to change into his scrubs. I pushed twice and my daughter was here ... he was not around because it happened way more quickly than anyone had anticipated. The nurses talked me through it - ran and got Dr. Joseph - who was SHOCKED when he returned and everything went very smoothly. I have recommended Allen Presby many times since and the Pediatricians (Dr. Moulton is so wonderful with kids). I have two older children 21 and 19 and can say hands down Allen Presby provided the best overall care for my child than that I have heard from other parents.

I didn't use Dr. Ralph Joseph (I used Dr. Bruce Rajala) but I did deliver at Presby Allen and had the most wonderful experience. The nursing staff was wonderful, the accomodations comfortable and the food quite tasty!

I honestly am not a fan of McKinney Medical for any reason and am willing to drive the few extra miles to go to Allen; even for emergencies. The Dr's and nurses are extremely slow in their response time and even though they just won the nurse-friendly award, they don't really seem all that friendly. They have also mis-diagnosed a few of my family members on more than one occassion!

Dr. Michelsen is awesome!!! She delivered my first son last year and is about to deliver my second son in January. She has the best bedside manners and never rushes you. I like her staff too they are all so sweet. She really does care about her patients. My first baby came early and I was in the hospital for a week trying to hold off delivery as much as possible. Delivery time came and Dr. Michelsen came in on a Sat. morning on her day off to do my c-section. Most doctors would let the oncall doctor handle it...I felt so much more comfortable that Dr. Michelsen was there.

I have used Dr. Halderman (North Central Women's Health Partner's) for 7 years and I love her. She was great during my entire pregnancy. Dr. Allen actually delivered my son last year and she was amazing. I had never met her so I was a little anxious about having her deliver my son but everything turned out wonderful. I have also had to call in and speak to Dr. Chinn before b/c Dr. Halderman was out and she was super helpful and super friendly. They prefer to deliver at McKinney but they will deliver at Centennial. That is where I delivered I could not have been more pleased. It's a new hospital so everything was really clean and new. The staff was so friendly. It is definately the way to go.

I delivered both my children at McKinney Medical Center. My first experience was great, my second was NOT. If it hadn't been for my personal physician I would have hated being in that hospital. I have heard from others that it has gotten worse since construction started out there. I know they are experiencing growing pains, and hopefully it will get back to what it was when I first delivered there, but I don't think it is yet. I've heard Centenniel is the place to deliver, and that Allen Presby is pretty good too, but not as comfortable. As far as specific doctors go, I don't know any of the ones you mentioned. I went to Craig Ranch OB-GYN and they deliver everywhere. I personally saw Dr. Trisha Shimer and love her, but I like all the physicians in her group as well as the mid-wives/nurses. They have awesome phlebotomists too - I was never stuck more than once!!!

Here is a vote for Dr. Campbell!! I've been seeing her for 6 years and she delivered my 2 boys, I won't go anywhere else!!! I love her!!!!!

I had CNM Julie Charleton deliver my son just 3 weeks ago in McKinney and she was wonderful. She is part of North Central Women's Health Partners. I really enjoyed using a midwife with my second delivery. It was very personal, and she was there for the whole thing. And she was very attentive to my desires through the entire process. I definitely got the birth experience I had hoped for. I very highly recommend her.

The doctors at NCWHP are GREAT! I just delivered with them 4 months ago. The staff is nice, the doctors are great and my doctor Dr. Jennifer Allen was a VERY considerate, compassionate, all around great doctor. Answers any questions, very encouraging with any decision you may have to make. Overall great team.

I use Dr. Jennifer Campbell too.I love her. She delivered boy my boys!
