i'm looking for a new ob/gyn in essex county affiliated with Saint Barnabas hospital. i had a miscarriage 5 months ago with my first pregnancy and the was very grateful to be seeing a doctor at the time with a ultrasound in the office. they were able to check up on my bleeding symptoms right away which inevitably lead to my miscarriage. i have recently moved and now live in west orange nj and am looking for a new ob/gyn. i found out i was pregnant a few weeks ago and am trying to find a new ob/gyn. any help would be greatly appreciated.

What can I do next?

I see the drs at Contemporary Women's Care (745 Northfield Avenue, West Orange, NJ ###-###-####)‎ at their Kearny office. I had a miscarriage in March and they were wonderful. They delivered my son 3 years ago and I have been seeing them for over 10 years now. They are all very caring and willing to explain everything thoroughly. There's a website with doctor ratings I've used before... it might help you make your decision: http://www.ratemds.com

I go to the Rubino Group, right across the street from St. Barnabus and see Dr. Saitta there (although all are wonderful). I recommended them to my sister in law who also had a miscarriage and just had twins with them. They were really understanding with all of her concerns and gave her extra ultrasounds and more appointments than they usually do, to help with her fears. They delivered all of our children and they are amazing! Here is their website- http://www.rubinoobgyn.com/

I use Dr Quartell in Livingston, NJ. He is wonderful as are the other doctors in the practice. He is affiliated with St Barnabas and there is an ultrasound machine in the office. I'm sorry about your miscarriage and wish you all good things with this pregnancy. I too miscarriage the first time and am now am a happy "mama" to an amazing two year old. Dr Quartell was my doctor for both pregnancies and very helpful. Good luck!

I saw Dr. Joann Somers in Livingston. Her office is next to the hospital on Old Short Hills Rd. They have an ultrasound in the office and bring in a technician for the big milestones of the pregnancy. She delivered both my girls. Good luck!
