I want to get more nutritional yeast into my child's diet. What are some good ways to do this while disguising the flavor?

What can I do next?

We only ever use it on popcorn, but always use it on popcorn. Pop in the pan w/ olive oil, then several tablespoons of nutritional yeast, and a bunch of *kosher* salt, and sometimes pepper.

Something magic happens mixing nutritional yeast and kosher salt. Super Yum.

you can sneak it in most any soup. Also look into making cashew cheese, its really easy and uses nutritional yeast as well. I also like it on popcorn. Also make sure for eating you use a basic nutritional yeast (the flaked kind). There is also on the market a brand called Super Nutitional Yeast that comes powdered vs. flaked. I think that it has more nutrients but tastes like garbage and can really only be chocked down dissolved in water and chased with juice. Don't try and sneak that one into food. The flakey kind is often sold in bulk and has a mild flavor.

I am very curious about why you would want to put more yeast into a diet. what exactly is nutritional yeast. when my body has too much yeast i get flacky scalp, irritated skin on my eyes or behind my ears there is a looong list. just wondering what and why you would like to include it in the diet.

most often foods that are icky when baked in breads taste much better.

I sprinkle th flakes in soups, salads, and even over spaghetti instead of Parmesan. My 4 year old won't eat spaghetti without it!

If you are using nutritional yeast to get more B12 in your diet, make sure you check the package or bulk bin. Not all "nooch" is created equally. I know that Red Star flakes have B12.

Hope that helps!
