Nursing Tanks/Camis... Yay or Nay?

I'm due with baby boy #2 in a couple of weeks and I recently have been looking at nursing tanks. Not sure if I should invest in them or not. I found nursing bras to be uncomfortable and figured I'd have better and a more comfortable use with the tanks (room to grow and shrink haha). I would love to hear personal experiences with nursing tanks/camis.

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Thank you ladies... I am definitely going to invest in a couple of nursing tanks, and if I like them a lot I will buy more. Now I'm excited :)

Loved them! I slept in them. Also, bfing in public was more comfortable for me because my tummy didn't show.

Got mine at Target. Would have bought more, but they didn't keep enough of my size in stock.

I loved em'. They were great especially in the begining when I was really engorged and bras were too tight. At night I always needed to wear pads because I would leak, wearing a tank top held the pad in place. They are great for lounging around the house in too. Unfortunately, I didn't find that they offered enough support/lift to wear out in public, so I only wore them when I was at home.

I wore my nursing tanks out in my 14 months of nursing. I didn't find nursing bras uncomfortable, but the tanks were really comfy and I loved being able to nurse in public without showing off my post-baby belly. I'll buy at least 3 or 4 more the next time I have a baby.

I love them too! They are great for layering & being able to nurse while out & about without showing everyone your goods ;-) I got mine at target on clearance & only paid about $6 for them.

Love mine! I get mine at Wal-Mart, though they only come in black, white and gray. I wear them to bed and occassionally out and about if I know we're going to be somewhere that I'm going to need to nurse. You don't want to be lifting your whole shirt. :-)

I think I depends on your size. I thought they worked great for me, especially for those days just hanging around the house, also great for nursing on the go so you aren't trying to keep your stomach and back from being exposed. I am normally a 34 c, and I was pushing DD when my milk came in. I got a few from target which have a little wider strap, and one from medela that was pretty expensive bu had these removable pads so your nipples don't show! I still use the pads when I where regular cami tanks today. I really liked them, but like anything it's a personal preference!

I had my first child last year in October and loved loved loved (still do)my nursing tank. The bra's were uncomfortable for me as well. You can also layer them with a cute cardigan or whatever since it is becoming fall. I would totally stock up. Target sells them for about $12 each. I also where what I call "sleeping" bras. No underwire not tight that way I just pull it down to nurse. It helped so much, especially when I was first engorged. I would get a size bigger than what you think you need...GOOD LUCK!

yay! I loved having nursing tanks with my first son and just bought a new one today for baby number 2 (due in a couple of weeks). I bought the Bravado brand this time and, while it's expensive, it is REALLY comfy. It's cute enough to wear outside the house or you can just wear it to sleep in or while you're at home.

Congrats on your new baby!

Nursing tanks are the way to go without a doubt! So easy and convenient. You can wear them during the day and sleep in them at night. You can buy them at Target for about 12.99 and they last for a while. Without a doubt, please invest in them and you will not be disappointed.

I liked them, but also really liked Bravado bras. The seamless is as comfy as a tank.

Loved them! Especially as a stay at home mom and in cooler weather. I could easily nurse in public without my tummy showing. Also, at night I would wear one with a pair of shorts.

I've never tried them. Did you get a good quality nursing bra? I found the ones from Motherhood Maternity were great and comfortable. Good luck.

Love em! I always wear some kind of tank under my shirts while BFing, not always nursing tanks. I like them for around the house without a bra, but (for me at least) they are not nearly supportive enough. I still wear nursing bras under them. As far as nursing bras go, I find wireless to be much more comfy! I've also heard they're better, but not sure.

I liked them. I'd wear the tank with another shirt on top. Handy when out in public, as I could nurse w/o showing off my bare belly. Baby would be on top of the tank, yet under the shirt. I got one black one gray so they went with a few outfits. The tanks I got, btw, were my bra too. I did not wear an additional bra with the tank, yet my itty bitty boobs didn't need much more support than what the tanks gave me. If you have huge boobs, you may reconsider the tanks.

I LOVED them...they were a must for me! Very comfortable to sleep in also! I loved how they were comfortable and tight at the same time...not too tight, just tight enough to feel supported and "sucked in" :)

I say buy just 1, if your not sure and see how you like it!

I love my nursing tanks...even as my nursing days come to an end. I never used it as a replacement for a nursing bra though, I like the full support of the bra. I usually wore them around the house and to sleep in. I even showered in one once because my breasts and nipples were so sensitive the water hurt. Even now that I'm able to wear my normal bras again, I sometimes will wear one of my tanks over the bra as a cami/undershirt. It serves two purposes...layering and it gives my "girls" a little push up ;)
