Have you tried nursing her while she sleeps?
My 7.5 month old daughter is on a nursing strike. The last few days it has been hard to get her on the boob, but we managed. Today, she had two very short nursing sessions- pulled off the boob each time and started crying and I could not get her back on. Her last nurse was at 10:45 am today. Since then, anytime I bring her near my chest she wails at the top of her lungs. We do not give her bottles and today was the first time I have pumped since she was born (as I was engorged from her not eating). The milk that I pumped we tried feeding to her with a cup and a syringe and she won't eat.
She has been teething and we gave her some infants tylenol yesterday and earlier today. I want to give her some more- in hopes she will eat- but is that okay on an empty stomach? What should we do?

My little one is also 7.5 months and I suspect teething too. We had a rough night last night, wouldn't eat his solids and would pull off the boob frequently. I guess the pressure is too much on thier little gums. In terms of the Tylenol, as long as it's every 4 hours it should be find.
I have also been giving him teething tablets. They melt his mouth, and it seems to help. I am hesitant to do the oralgel because I heard their throat can get numb... but I think that is the case if you use a lot. Good luck!
My son went on a nursing strike at one point too. Under a doctors supervision, I had to hold back solids and when he got hungry enough he just started nursing again like the whole thing never happened. Just keep an eye on her for dehydration and if she has any other "sick" symptoms. She will come around in a day or two. Just try to keep nursing positive and not force her. You can give her a wet washcloth to chew on to help ease some gun pain. It should be okay to give her Tylenol on an empty stomach, but I would check with your doctor. Lastly, is she refusing solids too? Good luck.
Try taking her to a quite room, just the two of you, after giving the tylenol. There just may be more "important" things to her than nursing right now, like looking and touching everything. My baby had one at 4 months and it was aweful, but we stuck it out. You can do it Mama! Hang in there.
