I am having a baby girl late July & trying to decide what to do her nursery in. I have 2 boys already so I am so excited about doing a girly room. I need some inspiration though. I am looking for pics on the web to give me some ideas/inspiration. Does anyone have any good ideas or know of any good websites where I can view nursery pics that people have done? Please help b/c I really want to get started!

I have to agree, don't do anything too baby! Our daughter will be three in May and is just about to come out of her crib. Because we used an Angel theme in her nursery we will not have to change the theme until she is ready to help decide
i wanted to do my daughter's room in precious moments but where i had a boy first and only two rooms, i left the blue jeans teddies up. good luck on finding something to do the nursery in and congratulations on your daughter.
Hi M.,
Try www.ikea.com its great! they have amazing stuff, super cheap! if theres A STORE NEAR YOU (ATLANTA) YOU SHOULD GO. they have rooms set up in their store and they have a supervised play area for your kids while you shop.

I always look to Land of Nod and Pottery Barn Kids for ideas. Can't afford their products, but I use their rooms for inspiration. Congrats on your daughter! I have two, and girls are so much fun!
Hi there.
I had a baby girl 8 months ago. I decorated her nusery with fairies. They're children faires too! I used Cicely Mary Barker's "Flower Fairies". They're the cutest things! Buying individual prints of these faires can get expensive. So, I bought a book called "The Complete Collection of Flower Faires" for about $25.00. Then I chose the ones I liked the best and matted and framed them. The pictures are different sizes and that adds a little diversity to it.
Just a suggestion. Good luck!
Only thing I suggest is do something not so baby- so you do not have to think about re-doing the room for a few years- then they can have input. I did a hot air balloon theme as I wanted to sew and plan and did not know the sex yet- and could twist it girly or more boyish at the last minute- I basically did it a mural scene all around, green along the bottom, rolling hills, and blue into the ceiling for sky. I made paper mache hot air balloons using some pretty large advertising balloons and cut them in half- baskets underneath attached to the wall held stuffed animals. I painted hot air balloons on the wall. I used carbon paper to trace coloring books and pages I downloaded from the internet and then used acrylic paint to color in between. One wall has a forest scene with animals and trees, another has trucks and cars, and a fire engine, and another wall has a circus tent and ferris wheel- clowns. So I figured I could add in more later if he grew to like something more than something else. My husband did go in later and spray clear acrylic over all that I had hand painted- I just re lined certain features with permanent marker. One has to be careful in spraying after as if you get a thicker layer, the wet acrylic runs the permanent marker. So thin layers work best.
Now we are moving to TN and he is into trains so I am planning a whole train themed room in my head. Have fun!
Babies R us is also great. There is one in Mobile or you can go to www.babiesrus.com
