S.B.
Just know that your body is getting ready for the inevitable.
It's practicing up.
You can check in with your OB tomorrow, but unless you have any other symptoms, like I said, your body is readying itself. As it should.
I had hardness and tightness and numbness at the top of my belly, but it was because my daughter was a head down baby basically from the beginning. She was facing backwards and her little butt was right up under my ribs. It was so weird because I could totally cup my hand over it.
I had back labor with my first baby and plenty of braxton hicks. I never got the usual contraction feelings. It all hurt in my back.
With my son, I had the worst period cramps I'd ever experienced. That was the only way I could describe it. And I felt pain down into my legs. Two days after his due date, I was scheduled for induction and the night before I wrote it all off to being anxious. I couldn't eat. My back and belly and legs hurt just like my normal period cramps. My legs hurt so bad I couldn't keep them still. I got no sleep. At 5 am my water broke on it's own. I had no idea I had been in labor all night until I got to the hospital and they checked me.
Birth is so exciting. But, I have to admit that having two kids 10 years apart and completely different pregnancies, I hated not knowing what was a sign of birth or just the usual discomfor that precedes getting ready for it.
Take care of yourself. Rest as much as you can.
When you go into labor, for sure, you will be blessed with a beautiful baby.
At 34 weeks, you should be close to checking in with your doctor at least once a week anyway. I'd run this past him or her, and let them check you.
Promise to let us know when the baby arrives, okay?
