We use Nuk and started with soothies. We never had a problem with the soothies, but my son loves to shove the entire Nuk binkie into his mouth. He doesn't really choke per say, but it is difficult to get out.
Hi Everyone,
I would like to know what yall think about the Nuk pacifiers. I just bought them and my son likes them so much more than some others I bought. I liked what I read about the soothies (gumdrop) but I read a lot about them being a choking hazard??? Is the Nuk a choking hazard as well?? I use the pacifier for him to fall asleep at night after nursing, and I also use in the car but cant see him while driving so I am sooo nervous about them being a choking hazard. Any advice??
Thanks for the input everyone! I am going to stick with the Nuk since he likes it so much, and just make sure that it won't fit in his mouth as he grows. I guess that goes for all pacifiers. Thanks again!!

Nuk Pacifier has been a life saver for all three of my kids. The only time it would be a concern is if the nipple on the pacifier is split or is peeling. Just make sure it is intact and you should have no trouble. If one wears out throw it away and give him a new one~
Never heard of choking harzard. I used it for my daughter to fall asleep. Also, they have studies saying that pacifier helps to reduce SIDS. Check out below website.

I don't know if they are but imagine that they would be recalled if they were. I just read about you not being able to see your son while driving ...I imagine he is rear-facing? You should get one of those mirrors to place in front of him so you can see him through your rear view mirror.
Good luck!
assuming they're not recalled for manufactuers defect, pacifiers only become a choking hazard once the baby can fit the entire thing in their mouths. if your son can fit the entire nuk in his mouth, shop for one that's bigger.
My now 20 month old child used only Nuk pacifiers. We never had a problem.
if they were a chokinh hazard, they would not sell them. my son uses them
My children loved their Nuk pacifiers. Both of them used them with no problems.
I also suggest getting one of those mirrors for the car, they are really great!
Nuk is the only brand my 4 kids - ages 12 to 24 - liked. We never, ever had any of the parts separate, even when they were old.
My son has used them since he was born. He is now 9 months old and still does. I plan on using them for his baby brother too who is due in May. :) don't worry the Nuk Pacy is fine.
Hi. I used NUK with my daughters (son didn't use anything). Also, a friend of mine who has had 4 children, used NUK with all of them. We both loved them. I never had a thought about a choking hazard with them, and never had a concern. I liked how they never got "tacky" or "sticky" like so many other pacifiers tend to. They are dishwasher safe and never came apart like, again, so many others do.
