I don't remember all this with my first daughter, but now my little girl rolls over at night and stays like that to sleep. She is 5 1/2 months old, should I just let it happen?

What can I do next?

Our daughter started rolling over around 4 months and she is now 10 months old and sleeps on her belly all the time. We have the breathable bumpers on her crib because she likes to stick her arms and feet through the slats. There is nothing wrong with the belly sleeping once they can roll on their own. They know when to turn their heads when they need to also.

Our daughter first rolled over before she was 6 WEEKS old and the Doctor said let her go for it..

She slept so well, she slept pretty much through the night at 6 weeks..

My daughter, now 21 months, likes to sleep on her tummy too. If she is mobile and rolls over like a pro, she can move herself to sleeping on her back if she wants it.

Just try to keep her crib free of pillows or bumper pads just to let the air flow moving.

I let it happen with my son. I have heard now that SIDS really occurs with children with a pre-existing condition - asthma or what-not.

My pediatrician didn't argue with me when I told him that my son slept better on his tummy. He'd heard enough moms say this and he wasn't going to argue with them. He knows that we all know they're not supposed to - so what was the point in arguing with us?

Once babies can roll over, their risk for SIDS drops. My Pedi. told me that if my DD is able to roll herself onto her belly, let her sleep like that... or else I will spend all night rolling her back over and NEITHER of us will get our precious sleep!

I had a few sleepless nights when my daughter did this...I would wake up 50 times a night to look at her. I would try to prop her on her side or put her back on her back...but she would just roll back on her tummy. I was driving myself crazy. She will be fine...let the girl sleep!
