I have NOT done this. But I was about to have it, but never did go through with the procedure. However, I wish I would have.
They put you in a light sleep. It takes not even an hour to get the whole procedure done. Supposed to be painless.
However, it is not 100%. You may still have periods but they are supposed to be very light. Or you may just stop having periods altogether.
We are military and at the time our insurance covered it. However, I don't know about now since we have a different type of military insurance now that we are full time army (DH at the time was deployed with the National Guard so we had the type of insurance you had to pay for montly. But now our insurance is covered but a lot of things we still have to pay for).
You would need to check with your insurance company to see if they cover it. They would know.
