Hello,
I have done months of research on vaccinations and am almost to the conclusion to stop vaccinating my dd (16 months old). Her wellness visit is coming up and the DTaP and Hep A are recommended. I would rather not give her any of them and I know how to get exempt out of them, my only concern is my dd is in daycare and I am worried that I might be contributing to her getting the many viruses & bacteria that go around daycare. Does ANYONE not vaccinate and have/had their children in daycare/school? If so, how was their immunity? I have only met one family that did not vaccinate and their sons did go to school (and were rarely sick), however, they were raised Chiropractic from day one... thanks!!!

What can I do next?

Hi,
I'm pretty sure you can get out of providing records to the school if you say that you are not vaccinating for religious reasons. This may be the best decission for your child but make sure you think very seriously about it first and weight the potential risks that not vaccinating may pose to your child and the community.

Hi!,
I have four children, none of which have been vaccinated and have all gone to preschool and public school. They are RARELY sick.I personally feel this is because their immune systems weren't bombarded with disease from vaccinations.
I so also supplement with glyconutrients which really helps to support their bodies nutritionally.
hope this helps!

I had my youngest son in school and not vaccinated, he has always been very healthy never had an ear infection and is 15 now.
My other son who was vaccinated had lots of ear infections.
I am convinced that not immunizing is better for the immune system.

Hi M.! My sister has six children...all ranging from newborn to seven years of age. She shares your view on vaccinations. She actually believes that the vaccinations her first child recieved caused some developmental problems with him. From what I remember the childrens "immunity" wasn't the big issue. Sure they got sick alot, but all children do. But what my sister DID have a horrible time with was the school system. She had to fight hard to get him in. I'm not sure how all that stuff works around here (my sister lives in Boston),
but its worth looking into to see what you're looking at.
Although my view on vaccines is different, I will say there are alot of mommy's out there who feel the way you do (for whatever reason). My sister is one of them. Just do what you believe is right for your little one and don't let anyone make you feel badly about it.

Hi M.,

I am a Licensed Acupuncturist and I absolutely refuse to vaccinate my son, who will be 2 years old October 5th. He has been in daycare since he was 6 months old and very rarely gets sick. If he does it is usually a cold that lasts no more than 3 days. My son had a fever once a couple of months ago and he has never had earaches. There are some natural products that you can get at AZ Health Foods, Whole Foods, or Sprouts that will help to keep the immune system strong for children. I hope this helps!
