I know that anytime that you have unprotected sex that you could end up pregnant but... My husband and I have been TTC for about 6 months now and due to his type of work have put that on hold for a few months. We agreed that after my period this month that we would start using condoms again just to be sure that we didnt concieve in the next few months. Well last night was technically the last day of my cycle and in the heat of the moment did not end up using a condom. So my question is not can I be/get pregnant from this but rather have any of you Mommies ended up pregnant from this type of timing? (Had sex right after your period and ended up pregnant)
Thanks

What can I do next?

A close friend of mine did. She thought it was a "safe" time so she didn't use a condom. Boom - baby number 4.

I concieved my first by having sex the day after my period ended...I knew it technically could happen but really didn't think it would, I normally have longer than average cycles. Of course that wasn't the first time I had ever failed to use bc during my period or immeadiately after (I feel I tempted fate one too many times:) but it was the last! So yes it happened to me.

yes i just had a baby 2 months ago that was conceived on day 5 of my cycle (last day of period). evidently i ovulated a week early. he is wonderful and we wouldn't have it any other way, but we were a little surprised that my usually normal cycle was so off that month. so anything is possible but i wouldn't worry too much until you know for sure. wishing you the best:)

My second was conceived the day after my period ended (on vacation in Ireland). I have never had normal ovulation times, but had no idea I could have been pregnant until I realized about 6 weeks later that I never got a period (those had never been normail either) and took a test. We had to use Clomid to conceive my daughter because I wasn't ovulating normally, so I guess I just wasn't expecting to get pregnant on our own, especially on the first month off of birth control! I guess I'm saying all of this to say that anything is possible and you won't know until it's time to test. I hope everything works out for you.

Yes. I concieved my 2nd child right after my period ended. Best wishes to you, either way there is no " perfect time" for a baby. Hope you get the family of your dreams! Hugs, Molly

My husband and I have not been using protection because we would like to have another baby. I just had a little girl 4 months ago and trying for a boy but either way will be happy. Well we have been intimate right after my periods and never had any luck. I do track my ovulation but still no luck. So for me sex after a period didn't happen for me and we have been trying ever since the birth of my baby(after the 6 weeks waiting period though)

I've never tried that like that, but if you don't want to get pregnant, then I suggest going on the pill. It's the sure fine way of not getting pregnant. And, of course, when your on the pill and get pregnant, then its a blessing, meaning that baby was suppose to be in your life.
Sorry for not being of any reeal help there. just just thought I'd tell you my opion.)

according to my dates (which I keep track of VERY well), ultrasounds while pregnant & the doc, I conceived on the last day of my period.. Still dont understand how, but apparently you can concieve at any time of the month, regardless of when your period is. I googled it & from what I found, its true...

Well, I got away with it once when I was younger but there is always a chance and it does happen to some people. Megan B. explained it really well.

If you really want not to be pregnant go get Plan B from the pharmacy (it's over the counter and you can use it up to 72 hours after unprotected sex). You can also find instructions online on how to use regular birth control pills for a morning after pill (try Bedsider.org).
