I don't know how to exactly post on here, yet. I wish I had a Mothers advice butI!, I do want to thank all the people who posted today. I picked up my son today at school with a big bag of McDonalds and said, "can we agree on ONE THING??"" That 9 days is too long to not speak and can we please apologized to each other, talk about it and get through this because that is what families do. From there I got a big IM SORRY MOM!! I thankyou all for helping me, I was at a loss. I don't always know what to do as a Mom, trying to keep control and all. Again, thankyou And Ms. Pittsburg, my boy was 9!! I remember. 12 is diffent I miss those days, and remember them well

What can I do next?

M. - good for you! So glad to hear that you're working things through with your son and learning as you go along. Keep coming back here and asking questions whenever you are frustrated - people here have great advice!

But... please change your title to something like "A BIG THANK YOU" and throw a question in at the end so that your post doesn't get pulled (it needs a question).

I'm SO glad you reached out to him!
I don't think I could survive 9 days without my son. Mine is almost 9, so I think younger than yours, but I know he needs his mom--no matter how "cool" he tries to be--and I'm sure your son needs you as well.

I'm so glad you were able to reach out to him and he was receptive!! I too was confused with your last post that you were disappointed in your 12 year old but you say he is 9 here. Keep those lines of communication open. Yea Mama!!

I'm glad it's worked out for you. I think it's important for a child to hear their parent apologize - it makes us human!
