Agree with the others about it being dry, probably also irritated from the cold. My son gets frequent nosebleeds. We use a qtip with neosporin and gently swab his nostrils 3-4 times a day and this keeps the nosebleeds to a minimum.
My daughter has never had any serious health issues. She's been sick, with a cold, the past week and today she got 4 nose bleeds within an hour. I'm very worried because I never had nose bleeds, and I don't know what it means. Please help!

try some nasal spray...like little noses saline spray.....probably just dry up there.
My daughter gets them all the time without a cold......who knows why. I have never had one though.
I would get worried if you can not get them to stop bleeding or she keeps getting them for days and days. But the 4 in one hour is probably just her clot unlogging and starting it to bleed all over again...especially if she is sniffing or picking at it.
Hope that helps
Because she's sick with a cold the lining of her nose may be irritated with the constant blowing/wiping. It also may be dry. Try smoothing vaseline or another lubricant on the lining of her nose.
I had frequent nose bleeds as a child and the doctor found that the blood vessels in my nose were close to the surface and easily "popped." Eventually the doctor cauterized them so that the vessels on the surface were closed.
For your daughter, tho, I suspect it's just the irritation causing the nose bleeds and lubricating or hydrating the nasal tissue will help stop them.
I now use a personal lubricant of hydrate my nose. It's not as messy as a petroleum based lubricant. But it doesn't last as long in the nose either. I can use Vaseline once a day but when I use the personal lubricant I have to use it 2-3 times.
Nose bleeds are rarely caused by anything serious.
try useing a saline nosel mist to mosterise her nose. it sounds like it has gotten really dry. good luck. r
