None of the schools my kids attend allow junk food anymore. We brought Popsicle one year for a birthday and yogurt tubes another year. It's really hard with all the food allergies! I'm just not going to do it anymore.
I am searching for elementary schools with non food birthdays, healthy celebration policies and moms who care about those things? I prefer northern CA. Any particular schools?

Good luck with your search! Here in the Kansas City area, it is nearly 100% sugar all of the time. I chose to invite the whole class to a birthday party at a nature center instead of using class time for celebrating.
It's something you're going to have to call individual school districts about. From the post from yesterday research districts within the cities recommended then call and ask or go to their districts website and search for answers.
try a waldorf school. there are many here in northern california.
I think this accidentally re-posted? Same question asked yesterday or the day before.
Wait a minute...there are schools that still let you bring food (i.e. cupcakes or candies or brownies)? My son's class is not allowed to bring in birthday treats and when they do have a class party (they have had one) they are only allowed to bring in store bought treats. Northern CA is pretty crunchy, I bet you will be able to find a school pretty easily. You will probably have to call every school seperately though. Good luck.
