I have been wanting a new look and I need a new wardrobe. But I have no sense of style lol!
Has anyone ever used the Nordstrom Personal stylist? Do they expect you to spend a certain amount?

What can I do next?

Macy's... also has "Personal Shoppers."
And they are FREE.
You only buy what you want.
I know many friends/Moms who have done this.
Because, it saves them time, gives them style and the "Personal Shopper" will go by your style/preferences.

Its a great service.

I worked at Nordy's a few yrs. ago.... just be honest and tell them what you want and I'm sure you will love what the pick... and no they don't expect you to pay a certain amount :)

I found a little boutique by my house. This past fall I decided to go in there to check it out. I felt like a barbie doll with all 3 girls that worked there. I stood there & said yes or no while they brought me jeans, shirts, sweaters, shoes, jewelry, scarfs, etc. I tried everything on & they showed me different ways to wear things that I never thought of. The prices were real good too, not much more than target except for the jeans, they ranged from $60-$200, after trying them on I understand why they are so expensive.

I had lost 30 pounds in 1 year (medical) so I needed a new wardrobe. I just went in this store for my summer wardrobe & it was worth every penny to stand there while people brought me clothes.

I love Nordstrom, & I think they are reasonable on most of their clothing. You can also just go & ask a sales associate to help you pick out some outfits, they love doing that kind of stuff. That way you won't feel obligated to spend a certain amount.

My only suggestion is to bring a camera so you can see all the different ways to wear things, at least for me I forget easily.

Hope you find some style, like I did.

I used one at Macy's before. It wasn't as successful as I hoped but she wasn't pushy. I think part of my problem is that I am a very cost cautious shopper. It was also after the birth of my 3rd child so time was an issue too. Good luck, i think it is worth a try

Nope, but I would give them a general budget at the outset!

When I took an administrative level position with a school district, I needed a new wardrobe. The Macy's personal shopper was so incredibly helpful! I told her how much I wanted to spend and the first thing she did was tell me when to come back b/c they do in fact know when the next sale is coming. I made an appointment with her and she helped me pick out suits, tops, separates, accessories and shoes all within the budget I set.

Happy shopping!
