I think food allergies is such a huge topic anymore that maybe there were several with allergies you may have been unaware so instead of leaving some kids out they decided to nix the food.

I think a full meal, is not the norm. Serving cake and ice cream, is usually all we've experienced at party. Some have had snacks, but not all. I've never been to a party that served a full meal, unless the party was right at dinner time. It was hot dogs and chips, then.

Hi M.,

S. hosts cake decorating P. where our customers can be anywhere from simple to extravagant. If the party is around a meal time 99% have some sort of food. Mid afternoon P. tend to have no food or just snacks. Evening P. usually have a full meal or snacks if after the meal time. I would say not having food is not the norm but certainly P. are being thrown without a meal or a snack.

I think it depends on what time of day it is. Like if it's lunchtime, I think they should serve some kind of meal if not snacks. If it's in between meals, cake and ice cream would be sufficient.
