We normally stay basically right across the street at the Marriott World Center....but this hotel LOOKS like fun. I mentioned it to a coworker who stayed there years ago. She said it was bug infested, the water park closed daily due to kids not wearing swim diapers and having accidents, and she would never stay again. I was disappointed.

That was about 4 years ago that I got the story, and she had stayed a few years before. Maybe it's better now.

Don't do it. Dirty and outrageously expensive.

Here are a ton of reviews.

I frequent the Disney boards, and I have heard very poor things about the Nickelodeon hotel....but when you compare to Disney, its hard to measure up. However, after what I have heard and read, I will not pay their outrageous prices. Plus, there are very few rooms that hold more than 4 people...so not worth it.

We stayed there for 2 nights this past April. In writing, this is a great hotel - two great water parks, close to disney... but it is dated, dirty, and overcrowded. When we were at the water park a child almost drowned, the lifeguards were quick to react and pulled the child out quickly but with so many people in the pool, they had a lot of maneuvering to do and it just makes you wonder. I personally would not go back there...

We stayed 2 nights, and found an online discount that was reasonable for the room rate. The rooms were just ok - definitely dated, a little musty (kids always coming in from the pools). Not my idea of a nice hotel room, but ok for the kids. The rooms were big, the kids had their own little room, had a sitting area and kitchenette area. It was fine for a night or two. The close access to the pools were nice. There is a big indoor food court and the prices of that were decent. But the character breakfasts/dinners were ridiculously priced (we didn't pay for them). I did look inside while one was going on and it looked kind of fun though.

I am so glad to hear that it is a gimmick hotel. I hate it when they do this to families seeking to show their kids a bit of fun. Better to know up front.
