Newborn with Crooked Feet ?

Ok this may seem like a paranoid, maybe even silly question.. But my newborns (4 days old) feet are turned to the side.. The doctor says it how she was laying in the womb (called it windblown feet?) and that they will straighten out... But to me it looks crazy and I can't imagine them straightening out.. Has anyone else experienced this and if so, how did it turn out? Thanks :)

What can I do next?

Two of my children went through this since I'm only 4'11", my children didn't have much room in the womb. My daughters whole leg was turned out from the hip. We exercised the hip every day to bring it back inward and it worked wonderfully. It only took about 6 months of doing it every day. My son's feet where terrible. His toes actually touched his shins (both feet) because of how he was laying in me. Again, we just exercised them and did massage (which I think all moms should do anyhow to their babies) and he was just fine after about 6 months.

Start wtih massage and then begin slowly and carefully stretching the leg and pulling in the right way. Hard to explain. I'll make a quick video and send it to you later today on how to do it the right way.

My daughter who is now 3(well next month) had her whole leg turned. I wanted a brace put on her. But the doctor insisted it was normal. She is three as I mentioned and it is almost all the way straightened. I hope that helps calm you a little. Congrats

My frirnd's little boy had the same issue, and his feet and legs went the way they were supposed to after a little while, her doctor told her the same thing.

i was that baby 45 years ago, mine didn't turn. So I had to wear shoes 24/7 with a bar across to straighten them out. Of course i don't remember this, just going by what my parents shared with me. My right foor is exactly 1/2 size smaller that my left and when i was 12 i was diagnosed with arthritis in my right foot. Buying shoes is a challange some times, but i have adjusted to my crazy feet. The arthritis is only bad sometimes and a couple of advil always does the trick. Moral of my story is if they don't straighten on there own, there are options. Congrats on your baby girl and good luck.
