I have recently moved to the Grand Prairie (which is closer to Arlington than anything)area about 6 months ago. I take my 3 year old daughter to school, pick her up and then we all wait for my husband to come home. I feel that they need to interact more with other children. I have even got to the point that I ask my oldest daughter if she would like to invite any of her school friends over but she seems to be shy when it comes to that. At my previous location they had plenty of cousins around that this was no problem. I believe it may even be good for me :)!!
I recently started taking my girls to the public library for story time. My four year-old loves to go and be with the other kids, and it gives me a chance to socialize with other Mom's. I actually have made a pretty good friend who we have regular playdates wih now. Check with your local library for the children's story time and day. Good Luck!
D. i have lived in Grand Prairie for almost 8 years now. There are so many place where you can take the kids to go play with other kids. I have a 19 month old girl and my neighber has 7 kids only 5 live with her right now. Her kids ages are 4yr twins boy and a girl, 5yr girl, 7yr girl, and 9 or 10yrs boy. I take her kids and mine to parks out side because where i live there are alot of kids out playing. I am in the same exact boat! I have 3 kids 3,2, and 6 months and am looking for someone who has kids to get together. I am new to grand prairie and my neighborhood has many play areas but I get so bored taking them by myself. If you want to get together sometime please call.

Are ya'll involved in a church anywhere? I find that that is a great way to meet people and connect with other moms. There are some really great churches in the area. If you are interested, message me and tell me what you're looking for and I can give you some good places to visit.
