I am new to the area. Can anyone make any suggestions about affordable after school care w/ homework help? The program info I got from my son's school is too pricey.
SCORE Educational Centers There are many around. Just look them up. We went there for 4 years for different subjects. After school care? No clue. Just the educational thing. Your local school should have information on that.

What county are you looking for and what school district are you in?
How much is too much? If you're just looking for after school care, maybe you can find a nanny share for after school. They pick up your kids, help them with homework, etc.

San Mateo County Library System has a wonderful homework help site....what city are you in?
Why don't you try your local boys and girls club?
Have you tried the Boys & Girls Club? I live near the Mid-Peninsula B&GC in San Mateo, and they are very reasonably priced from what I understand. I don't use it myself, but I have a lot of friends who do) They have a time to work on homework, snack is provided, they have lots of fun activities to do, and they will provide transportation from school to the club if needed.
