New to Area-Seeking GREAT OBGYN

A friend who is a nurse at MMC highly recommeded Dr Robert Massaro to me at one time. I didn't end up going to him as I found a Dr closer (my Dr no longer does OB), but funny enough he ended up assisting with my last c-section. My friend raved about him though and coming from a nurse that says alot!

Even when I moved to this area, I kept going up to North Jersey to see my OBGyn up there. I really thought he was great. Finally, I switched to Dr. Giovine last year. Every woman in my husband's extended family goes to him. Now I know why! He is absolutely the best, hands down. So, I and all my women in-laws highly recommend him. He is also very highly respected by his medical peers. I've had several other medical professionals rave about how great he is.
You might also want to ask your primary care doctor who he/she recommends.

I don't know if you prefer a female doctor but I use Dr. Alan Cohen and love him! He did not deliver my kids but is my OB and I had a hysterectomy by him. He works out of Monmouth Med. and what I like is he works alone so I don't feel like I'm going to a gin-mill. He spends alot of time answering questions and has been in practice for many years.

I go to Dr. Hammond as well, like Debbie H. - she's with Karoly, Kaskiw in Little Silver. I've been a patient in her office since '95 and I've never looked back. She's wonderful, and now that I am expecting my first in July, I have been rotating among the others in the office. I have have never left there without being completely satisfied patient!

Kelly Hammond is wonderfull. They go out of Riverview Medical center. She delivered my son and she is very friendly. She takes the time to talk to you and explain anything. She makes you feel like she knows you each time she walks in, and always a smile on her face. Other ones I have gone to They were very vague with there explainations, i left with questions that i had to ask a nurse. Hope this helps
