Hi J.,
Since you are an accountant, I think you might try sending out your "resume" to lots of businesses - but specifically noting that you want to work at home part-time. You will have a better idea of what businesses usually need help with a couple of times a month. Maybe you can pick up a few odds and ends that way.
Also, if you are good with money or budgeting, you could run an add in the paper a couple of times about doing financial type work for individuals - or typing for a business or individuals.
When I stayed home for a couple of years with our daughter, I was a candy wrapper! You can check out www.wrapcandy.com . This is software that allows you to create personalized candy bar wrappers. (For full size Hershey's, Hershey's miniatures and just about anything you can think of at this point!). It was somewhat time consuming and you need to be a little creative, but it did bring in a little money. (These might be used for party favors, birth announcements, advertising, etc.)
Another thing that might work - put an add to watch a child for a few hours a day. There are lots of people who stay at home (and therefore don't have accessable daycare) who still need to have someone to watch there little person here and there for doc's visits and that kind of thing.
Then there is always the "doing your laundry" and "ironing" for people...that's age old way for mom's to make some money!
You'll make it work!
