Hi everyone. I am a new mom to a 9 week old baby girl and am relatively new to the Princeton area. Would love to meet other new moms and was wondering if there are any groups in the area. Thanks in advance for any and all suggestions.

So What Happened?

Thanks for the great suggestions, everyone. I really appreciate it. I actually did attend one meeting of the La Leche group that meets in Rocky Hill and thought the women were really nice (I must have missed you there, Dana). Haven't made it back yet due to the vagaries of life with a 10 week old, but I hope to! I also haven't yet checked out the Bright Beginnings series, but I'm hoping to this week.

Aly, I'd love to get together sometime in Princeton! Is there a way to email people directly through Mamasource? (I'm new to this site).

Thanks again!

Hi there! I live in Cranbury with my husband and 17mth-old...also a transplanted New Yorker...but I grew up in Princeton. I'm working 3days a week but I haven't connected with any working moms....time is tough. I always go to Princeton to shop/get hair done and walk around..reminds me of the city a lot. Maybe we can get together some time with the kids?

Princeton Health Care System has a lovely group called Bright Beginnings. They meet Wednesday mid-morning at a gym near 206/518 intersection.

The website is a bit of a pain, but the group is great. Meet other new moms and learn a little something too.

I have also enjoyed their mommy & baby exercise class on Alexander Rd and their Postpartum Adjustment Support Group.

Also check out www.princetonkids.org they have a weekly email The various libraries in Mercer county and the Princeton Library are all nice and do stories at different days and times, mostly for 6mo and up, but if you just need to get out...

Oh and the MarketFair mall usually has many moms walking strollers to stay in the cool (or out of the snow!)

Have fun and best wishes!

If you are a nursing mom, the local La Leche League group is fantastic! Lots of laid-back, compassionate mamas there. I know the Princeton-North group meets twice a month at the Mary Jacobs Library in Rocky Hill on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of each month, from 9:30 to 11:30 (you can drop in whenever during that time). Mamas and babies everywhere!

Congrats on your new baby!
