The good news, is that you have time to make up your mind. I had 3 car seats in the back of a Volvo s40, not a big car, at all. Take your time, find out what you really want/need. Our regular car is a Mistb. Endevor.
Hi Moms,
I will have 3 kids in car seats very soon, and need a car that will hold us all. I've read a lot about moms "favorite" minivans, but not sure that I am ready to get one. Just wanted to know if anyone has a car they love that can hold a family of my size. I don't really want something REAL big, especially with gas prices. I love the Honda Pilot, but it might be out of my price range. I really need to stay under $20,000 and used is fine. Thank you....

Town and Country... make sure you get the air in the back seats. Well worth it in SA. Check out Car Max... it's where we got ours.
I have THE perfect car for you: a Mazda5! I got one last year and I love it. I have so many envious friends with big SUVs who regret not getting one of these. I still feel like I'm in a sedan, but it seats 6. It gets 26-27 mpg. I had the roof racks put on mine plus a satellite radio and paid 19k (brand new!) The roof racks make it look more sporty and less minivanish. There isn't much storage for long trips, camping etc if all the seats are occupied (which is why the vehicle seems so small on the outside) but. If you get the racks and a rooftop box that problem is easily solved when those trips occur. Meanwhile your load can be light for everyday use. LOVE the concept, wish Honda made one.
get a used Suburban. I am a mom of 3. They are the best. I had a minivan but this is soooo much better and I will never own anything else.
My sister had a pacific! It was nice. All the car seats strap properly in the seats and it is real nice.
Mazel Tov/Congratulations.
We're really happy with our Toyota Sienna. We have two and when in-laws visit, I sit in the third row. It has an amazing amount of room. I test-drove many many cars, SUVs, and mini-vans. I didn't really see any difference between the Pilot and the Sienna. Except that the Sienna was available in all wheel drive whereas the Pilot was not. It's been a great car for us for three years now.
I have a friend who is selling her 2007 Honda Pilot. It has 15,000 miles on it and she is asking $24K. She is also on Mommasource. If you are interested, please respond to me and I will get her information for you. Best wishes.
