Good Morning... I'm looking for a new camera to buy, something that can take quick action shots & is about $500 or less.
And also where to buy it Amazon, Walmart or Best Buy?
Thanks
J.

I love...LOVE my Canon Rebel. It has the best sports setting. My kids are very active in sports, track, basketball, football and soccer. I get some of the best shots.
My husband purchased ours online at amazon I think. I have seen them at Sam's Club for just about 500.
Best of luck to ya.
Depends a lot on what you will be using the camera for. I love my Canon Rebel T2, it is a dslr camera and takes great action shots, videos and close ups. For distance photos, I have an added lens that is great, but an added expense. I'm the "photographer" in the family, so the camera was a birthday present for me a couple of years ago. I received the long distance lens as a Mother's Day gift and will continue to look for ways to enhance this camera in the future. To me, it is worth getting something that will take high quality photos, these moments will be history SO FAST!! Good luck!
Okay, you'll DEFINITELY want to buy a Nikon or a Canon. People rave about both brands for DSLR, which is what you'll need for the action shots. My first "nice:" camera was a Nikon D40. It was GREAT! I got it from Best Buy as a bundle for about $450. I bought an extra lens for the distance shots, which I found I used more when the kids were in sports and such.
Now I have a Nikon D5100 and LOVE it. The package was on saled for about $900 from Best Buy. But if you're looking for under $500, I can absolutely tell you the Nikon D40 is a GREAT camera.
